MHS Models Representative Government

This past November the citizens of the United States went to the polls to elect a president and other officials to lead our nation. Students at MHS participate in a similar election process three times each spring. The first of those times was this week as we elected student body officers. Later in the semester, each class will elect its officers. Finally, each class will elect two senators to represent the class in an at-large capacity on the MHS Student Council.

Monett R-1 Health Services
Carole Hamm, RN
Monett R-1 School’s health services staff includes one registered nurse (RN), two licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and one health clerk, who is also a certified laboratory technician. As the lead nurse, I directly serve the health and wellness needs of Monett Intermediate and Middle School students; serve as a resource person for the health services staff; and am responsible for ensuring health policy and procedures are reviewed, updated, and implemented throughout the district. Paula Fenske, LPN, is the Monett High School, Central Park Elementary, and SRTC nurse, and Sheena Parrigon, LPN, is nurse to preschool through 2nd grade students at Monett Elementary School. Christy Brown provides highly skilled support as health clerk at Central Park. All are dedicated to keeping Monett’s students healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
